Welcome to your stay at Fantails Rest …

Fantails Rest provides boutique accommodation for up to 8 guests per booking, with one double bedroom, one double bedroom with ensuite bathroom, and one bunk room with four single bunk beds. Each booking has exclusive use of Fantails Rest and its facilities.

You'll find super-comfortable beds, crisp linen, a deep clawfoot bath, and a well equipped kitchen with tea & coffee provided. There are plenty of books & games, and a wood burner for heating in winter. There's also a TV with DVD player with some old favourites to watch, along with wifi access if you need it. Fantails Rest is a separate, private wing attached to the main house, but very private and quiet.

The deck has stunning views & plenty of outdoor furniture. Fantails Rest has its own garden area, as well as a courtyard pizza oven and charcoal bbq.

In the evening rejuvenate in the woodfired sauna with cold plunge bath beneath an incredible star-filled night sky. Relax and enjoy.

$310 per night for 1-2 adults, minimum 2 night stay

$50 for each additional person, minimum 2 night stay

“The bach is set in a peaceful location. The log fire was brilliant on the colder days. Owners were lovely and set out a welcome card with some lovely baking for me. I was there for some much needed stress relief and relaxation, and that is exactly what I got. Beautiful sunrises with birds singing to wake up and some excitement watching the trains head to and from the West Coast. It's far enough away from the city to be in the countryside and have some peace, but close enough to get back if needed. If you are looking for somewhere just to relax (or sew like me), this is the place.”
